With so many of us now sharing that first-day-of-school photo album or that father-son camping shot with friends and relatives via Twitpic and Facebook, photo-sharing sites like Shutterfly, Flickr and Picasa are saying "Hey! Come back!" and are trying to reinvent themselves, according to a reuters.com article.
Of course, photo-sharing sites are still huge. They let you create photo books, calendars, cards, posters and mugs. At the same time, they know we all want to be able to share photos easily through social media as well.

We've come so far with using digital technology to share images and keep in touch, and I love it. I can now have my family Skype with the grandparents in Florida and we can see our nephew and our brand-new niece in Washington. We share photos and video on Facebook. I'm excited about what these other sites will be doing to help us keep in touch and share images even more easily. It's all good.
