OK, spelling issues aside… People, isn’t this just a bit TOO MUCH INFORMATION? I guess I like a bit of mystery in my pop idols, actors, etc.

The folks over at a favorite blog of mine, Parent Hacks, have shared another great idea for harried new parents: ordering diapers and wipes through Amazon Subscriptions. Amazon offers 15% discounts and free shipping. (You can also order other staples such as coffee, detergent, etc.)

At first, I thought I might feel a bit guilty and indulgent about buying diapers this way, but if you recycle the packaging, buy in bulk, get a discount and avoid those yikes-we’re-out-of-diapers, gas-guzzling trips to the store, it might actually be a good thing for the planet — and for sleep-deprived new parents. P.S. Here’s a pic of Randy, Matthew and me back in 1995 when Matt was one week old, Randy still had a mustache and we were getting about three hours of sleep a night. Watched a lot of I Love Lucy reruns at 2 a.m. — and went through a lot of diapers — in those days!
